Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Desert Life Safari is a tour and travel operator based in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, India. This policy explains what we do with personal information you give us when you enquire, book, or use this website.

If you want anything here explained, or want your information removed, write to desertlifesafari1@gmail.com.

2. What we collect

• Contact details you give us — your name, email address, phone number and country.
• Trip details — travel dates, group size, room and vehicle preferences, and any dietary or accessibility needs you choose to tell us.
• Identity details where a stay or a border-area permit legally requires them, such as passport and visa information for foreign nationals.
• The content of your messages to us on WhatsApp, email or the contact form.

3. What we do not collect

We do not take card or banking details through this website, and we do not store them. This site has no login, no user accounts and no shopping cart.

We do not knowingly collect information from children. Bookings for families are made by an adult in the party.

4. Why we hold it

• To answer your enquiry and prepare a quote.
• To make and run your booking — passing the necessary details to the camp, hotel or driver looking after you.
• To meet legal obligations, including guest registration requirements and permit applications for restricted areas.
• To contact you about your trip while it is happening.

5. Who we share it with

Only the people who need it to deliver your trip: the desert camp you are staying at, the hotel, the driver assigned to you, and the authorities where a permit or guest registration requires it.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

6. The contact form

Our contact form is handled by EmailJS, which delivers the message straight to our inbox. The information you type into that form — your name, email, phone number and message — passes through their service in order to reach us. It is not stored on this website.

7. This website

This site does not set advertising or tracking cookies, and does not build a profile of you.

Some images and fonts are served from third parties (Unsplash and Google Fonts), which as a technical necessity means those providers can see the IP address making the request. This site is hosted on infrastructure that keeps standard server logs.

8. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry messages for as long as it takes to answer them and follow up, and booking records for as long as we are required to for tax and legal purposes. After that we delete them.

9. Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to us and we will action it, subject to any records we are legally required to retain.

You can also ask us to stop contacting you at any time.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information we will update this page and the date shown above.
